Dressing in Different Cultures<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\">Islamic modesty varies by culture:<\/p>\n<ul dir=\"auto\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Middle East:<\/strong> Abayas, Thobes, Niqab .<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>South Asia:<\/strong> Kameez, Hijab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Africa:<\/strong> Hijab, Long dresses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Western Muslims:<\/strong>\u00a0 Long maxi dresses.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\">Islam allows cultural flexibility as long as <strong>modesty and Islamic principles<\/strong> are followed.<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"auto\"><strong>5. Is wearing modest a choice or obligation from God<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ol dir=\"auto\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Hijab Is a Clear Command from Allah <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\">\u2022 The Quran instructs believing women to cover themselves (Surah An-Nur 24:31, Surah Al-Ahzab 33:59).<\/p>\n<p class=\"body\" dir=\"auto\">\u2022 Just like prayer, fasting, and zakat, hijab is part of obedience to Allah.
